Silver and blue Victorian Style Beaded Bauble

Pattern 2

In days gone by baubles were given as gifts instead of cards to keep and be treasured as heirlooms within a family. Each year a new ornament was given as a gift which you could add to your tree to create a unique collection of glass ornaments to treasure and add to over the years.

This beautiful bauble would make a pretty and timeless gift for a babies first Christmas. The metal top can be carefully removed to enable something very small to be placed within the bauble itself to help remember this special time.

This beautiful Christmas Decoration has been made with Miyuki seed beads and miyuki bugle beads which have been hand sewn together to create a hexagonal netting to encase a glass bauble. Shatter proof baubles can be provided should you prefer them.

The main colour in the decoration is a silver lined clear bead which has been combined with a silver lined red bugle bead to create the hexagonal pattern with the netting of this Victorian style bauble.

Size – 5 – 8 cm please choose size.

Each bauble takes between 2 and 4 hours to make dependent on the pattern and the size of the bauble. I hand sew each bead into the netting and then delicately pull the netting around the bauble and tighten to finish the beadwork and close is around the bauble.

I love making the baubles.

Sets of baubles can be purchased where if you buy 5 baubles you can get the 6th free. This only applies for baubles of the same size. Please message me should you wish to purchase this option and i will create you a custom order.

The baubles can be made in a range of colours and designs.
